5/1/14 Lone Pine Point and Double Rainbows

I have gone out of the Coast Guard station multiple times but this time the clouds and light was incredible.  This is what greeted me at first...
I went around Lone Pine point and nosed into a crack.
When I had started heading back I ran into this amazing cloud and light structure
Then the clouds started to clear up and we had a double rainbow over Burlington.
As a side note there is a picnic table on top of this rock... Now how do you get up there?

4/27/14 Lake Champlain/Bike Trail

When the summer season has not kicked in yet the Perkins Pier parking is free.  So I set out in what was mild chop that got winder as I went along to explore some spots I have only run over.
There is an old railroad bridge (still active) that no longer needs to be raised but still stands.
It is Vermont so the graffiti is unique.
As always a nice sunset to end the day.

4/27/14 CAT Trail

My usual CAT Trail exploration.  The river was running pretty damn hard.
I always love this gorge, so much water channeled into a single spot.
maybe at some point I will be insane enough to run it.
Spring had yet to arrive, brown is the palette of choice.

4-20-14 LaPLatte Flooded

Due to spring melt and rain the water level was high on my usual spot on LaPlatte.  So much so that most of the usual shoreline was gone.
It was fun working between the trees.  I was able to just go around the beaver dam and cut a lot out of a long route.  I like that kind of exploration.

5/11/14 Cottonbrook River and Delta Park

I have ambitious days where I try to cram as many activities as possible into a given day. This one started with going up to Cottonbrook for a short run and wander
I love that river. It may get a bit crazy with the spring thaw but there are nice points to just relax.
After that I headed out to Shelburne Bay for a quick paddle.
The lake is always welcoming.

5/10/15 Burlington Bay

While it costs nothing to launch out of Perkins Peir I try to seize every opportunity.
It is so close that I can be there in minutes and out in the center of the lake in seconds.
It was a choppy day so it was hard to sit and take pictures but I got a couple of good ones.
Sure it is no sunset over the Pacific Ocean but it still does well.
