6/8/14 CAT Trail

I have always enjoyed the wildflowers in Vermont, this day these flowers were in full force.

Just everywhere...

So much green.

This is the falls off the CAT trail, which I have seen in every season.  At this point of the year it was not running fast.

But still is calming to watch.

Still would not try to walk across of that.

Never say trees are not determined.

And the butterfly agreed on the flower point.

6/7/14 Delta Park

I got to go out kayaking with Patti on a beautiful day at Delta Park.  Perfect.

6/7/14 Honeyhollow

Water levels have been lower this year so the rivers have a lot more exposed rock than normal.

When Irene came through it destroyed this section of the road, washing it completely out.  Years later it still is not repaired, those rocks are there to prevent stupidity.

Even here you can see the damage from heavy runoff.

I do love ferns, there are a couple of places out there that when the light is right it just looks otherworldly.

Someone did this, it seemed poignant.

Sal is happy to be out.

6/2/14 and 6/3/14 Delta Park

The water regrouped a bit, or at least enough that I had a shore to land on.

There were some waves but nothing particularly powerful.

Still, always love to be on the water.

6/1/14 Cottonbrook

Cottonbrook is the  half of Little River I can access in the summer.  This is a specific foundation up in the hills that always seems comfortable.

This was at some point the front yard of their house.  Not a bad place to live

5/31/14 Delta Park

So I decided to catch up on all my blog entries.  So here is stuff from mid summer to warm everything up.  This was from Delta Park, when everything was still flooded.

This is normally a grass covered spit of land.

It is hard to tell but the kayak is resting on a sandbar.
