12/7/14 Little River and Burlington Bay

Snow makes Vermont even more beautiful than normal.
Sal was glad for a trail run in the snow.
So powdery and beautiful.
After that I got ambitious and went kayaking,
The winds were 20-35 mph and the water around 38 degrees.  It mean that at the end my kayak was covered in ice.
Completely covered and the deck lines frozen into shape.

11/28/14 Burlington Bay

Because I am crazy snow does not stop me from kayaking.
It was not warm... I wear a wetsuit but that water is under 40 degrees at this point.

11/10/12 Little River

My Father came up for a visit and we went out to Little River for a stroll.
We stopped at some of the little waterfalls along the way.
This is where the dam drains so water level can rise unexpectedly.

It was also about the time for my Father's birthday.  I got us matching Orient Ray watches.
Got to say they look dashing.

11/8/14 Centennial Woods

Patti and I went for a quick trail run in Centennial Woods of fthe UVM campus.  This was all new to me.  Sal was excited though.
There was a marker for the city.
The trials ran all over.  It was very easy to get all turned around.
There also is this concrete structure in the middle of it all.   No idea what it was for.
Sal was tired after it all, Patti comforted him.

11/1/14 Delta Park

It is surreal how low the water is at this point.  Delta had a new continent.
This is normally foot or more under water.
I had to drag the kayak to a place where I could actually launch it.  The winds were so strong that it was bounce the kayak around behind me as I went along, hence the crooked track.

10/31/14 Halloween

Time for work Halloween.  I decided to go as Magritte's painting Son of Man.
There were two of us.  It was not a costume I thought was going to replicated by someone else.
This was the pumpkin carving contest entry.  It began with a se7en style.
This was the note outside my manager's office.
The pumpkin after my carving skills were applied.
Inside the office we had this set up...
A little easier to see with the lights on.   Yeah, we won....

10/25/14 Cottonbrook

Halloween is coming and I went for a nice trail run in Little River.
Stevenson Brook has an old sawmill.  Also someone went around and put some pumpkins around.
The truck could use some work.

More pumpkins...
This is a well, it goes down 25 feet.  It was covered by a rotten wood box, it looked so creepy.
And the final pumpkin I found next to the graveyard.  Spooky...

10/19/14 Niquette Bay

Time for Niquette to be closed so I can go back and run those trails.
Mansfield looking majestic in the distance.
Across the lake.
Happy,
happy,
Sal...

10/13/14 Burlington Bay

Seriously love the sunsets here.

10/12/14 Grand Isle Marathon

Patti had her marathon on Grand Isle and I decided to bike it to provide support and cheering at different points throughout her race.
There is a fishery that was along the way.  It was a nice space to stop, eat some food and drink some water before continuing on my way.
The exit to the fish pond.  There was special plants in the pind that filtered the water.
Turn around point.
In the distance...

Coming around to the point.  I had to grab things from her.
I found an abandoned shooting range and this AC unit shot to pieces.
From a distance.
Inside the Fishery on the 3rd leg.
The fish were hungry.
Such a great place to take a break.
Patti coming up on the 3rd part, one final part to go.
At the END!  She did great, it was a perfect day for it.  She did a person best and I was proud to be there to see it.
